Worth, Texas. Our mission is to provide complete, up-to-date
information about art, entertainment and all the activities in and around our town. Any
business that deals in art, entertainment, restaurants, theatre
or public offerings of this type are welcome to
submit entries to Fort Worth Scene for publication. If you know

Montgomery Plaza - The Perfect Destination
Montgomery Plaza is a unique mixed-use development located on W 7th in Fort Worth, Texas.
In addition to popular anchors including Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls/HomeGoods and
Petsmart in an open air setting with ample parking, the property contains the beautiful,
original 1928 Montgomery Ward store and catalog building. In 2004 the nationally
recognized architectural structure was converted into a luxury residential community
with 240 condominiums on levels 3 through 8. The condos feature elevated ceiling heights
and enormous full-length windows with industrial elements. During the conversion, a
six-story opening was incorporated into the center of the Art Deco period building,
creating a central 80-foot promenade for shopping and restaurants. Within walking

WHAT TO KNOW - If you’ve recently driven through the University District of Fort Worth,
you have likely noticed WestBend, one of the city’s newest retail, dining and office
developments. Located across from University Park Village on the Trinity River, the
278,000-square-foot mixed-use development provides a walkable urban experience for the
already-successful conventional retail in the area. WestBend will feature 183,000
square feet of office space and 95,000 square feet of new retail and restaurants.

In 1949, the Corporate Employees Recreation Association, or CERA, got its historic start
as an organization of recreation facilities and wholesome leisure activities for employees,
retirees, and their families. At that time, the company was known as Consolidated Vultee
Aircraft Corporation, or “Convair”, and then later changed to General Dynamics, and then
to LMRA. Since that time, CERA terminated many of its attractions then sold off the land
to Trademark Property Company, in partnership with Sarofim Realty Advisors, in 2014 that
later was developed as Waterside. Today, Waterside is a 63 acre lifestyle/mixed-use
development, anchored by Whole Foods Market and REI, that capitalizes on the unique
physical attributes and location of the former LMRA (Lockheed Martin Recreation Association)...
