ARTES DE LA ROSA
Artes de la Rosa
Artes de la Rosa is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and interpreting the art,
culture, lives, and history of the Latino community by: (1) establishing a venue for
Latino art and cultural performances; (2) offering educational art/culture programs to
the community including youth in low-income neighborhoods; (3) providing opportunities
and support for established and emerging artists and performers; and (4) serving as the
central support organization and resource center for Latino art and culture in the City
of Fort Worth.
Artes Academy
Artes Academy, our award winning youth program, forms the foundation of our education
initiatives. The program accepts children 7 - 18 years regardless of sex, race, ethnicity,
religion, etc. Although graduates of our program have gone on to professional careers in
the arts, the goal of Artes Academy is to build the social skills, communication skills,
and self-confidence necessary for our students to become contributing members to our
society through practical training in arts education.
Classes are available for children ages 7 - 18 and are divided by age: 7-12 and 13-18.
Two three-month semesters are held in the Spring and Fall, with an annual Summer Camp.
Focus is on producing a play from the ground up while learn acting and technical skills.
This award-winning program received "Best Arts Experience for Kids" in 2003 and "Best Arts
Experience for Children" in 2004 by the listeners WRR Classical 101.1 as well as the
prestigious 2006 Coming Up Taller Award. Classes are taught by some of the area's
leading stage talents.
