Billy Bob's Texas opened April 1, 1981 with national attention featuring Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers as the first performers. Other artists who appeared during opening week included Waylon Jennings, Janie Fricke, and Willie Nelson. With 100,000 square feet of interior space and 20 acres of parking for entertainment and events, Billy Bob's features 30 individual bar stations, live music with country music’s biggest stars, Live Pro Bull Riding, and a Texas size dance floor.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden, the oldest botanic garden in Texas, is a lush 110-acre tapestry of dappled shade and vibrant splashes of color. Founded in 1987 and based in Fort Worth, BRIT documents the diversity of plant life and conducts extensive research around the world. In the last 10 years, BRIT scientists have located and described scores of species previously unknown to science. Similar to the botanist-explorers of the 18th century, our scientists share the same desires and traits as Sir Joseph Banks, Captain James Cook, and Charles Darwin. We're adventurous, curious, passionate, independent, and smart. In addition, we are teachers. We are driven to find new plant species and research plant life for agricultural, economic, environmental, medical, and social uses and to share that knowledge in the classroom and the research laboratory. Current major projects are ongoing in Texas, Europe, and the Pacific Islands.

The BEP's public Tour and Visitor Center located in Fort Worth, Texas is a great place to learn about U.S. currency. Visitors can see where billions of dollars are printed from an enclosed walkway, which is suspended above the production floor! Over half of the nation's currency order is produced in Fort Worth. Available before or after the free self-guided tour, the experience includes an informative theater film, and visitors have the opportunity to walk through two floors of interactive exhibits and displays showcasing currency history and the intricate art of currency manufacturing. Also located in the visitor center is the Moneyfactory Gift Shop where the public can purchase souvenir items including uncut currency sheets and other specialty currency products. Restrooms and vending machines are available.

The Christian Arts Commission is working to create an open access museum for the exhibition of spiritually inspired works of art. Formed in 2004, the Christian Arts Commission has diligently worked to create the foundation for this endeavor by aligning its vision with key people and organizations who share the vision of uplifting community through inspirational art.
To date, the Christian Arts Commission has achieved many of the target goals they need in order to make this vision a reality. This includes:
• Formation of a strong leadership team to spearhead the project goals.
• Approval for 509(a)(1) tax exempt Foundation status.
• Site acquisition of the property needed for the construction of the museum.
• Approval for the permanent display of the famous "Last Supper" wax artwork.
• Initial pledge totals exceeding $500,000.00 dollars.

The Forest Park Miniature Railroad was built as part of Forest Park Rides in 1958-1959. The ride is an approximately five-mile, thirty-five to forty-minute round trip from the Forest Park Depot off Colonial Parkway in Forest Park to the Duck Pond in Trinity Park and back with one stop at the Trinity Park Depot in Trinity Park where passengers may board the train if seats are available. The train crosses six bridges on its route including a 350 foot girder bridge and 175 foot truss bridge, both of which cross the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. The third longest bridge (sixty feet) along the route of the Forest Park Miniature Railroad spans the Trinity Park Creek before the train crosses under the Fort Worth and Western Railroad External Link trestle on its way to the Duck Pond. Occasionally, the Grapevine Vintage Railroad External Link is making its way across this trestle when the Forest Park Miniature Railroad is passing underneath.

The Omni Theater was the first IMAX screen in the Southwest and, with an eight-story domed screen and 30-degree stadium seating, remains the largest IMAX dome in the United States west of the Mississippi River. The Omni’s 120-foot-wide screen places the audience in the center of the action, producing a sensation much closer to real-life than a conventional movie theater. Our story began when Cowtown Segway Tours was created by Paul and Eric in 2007. Eric was the owner of Texas Segway Sales and Repair Shop over in Hurst and Paul was the idea guy. They put their heads together and set up their Segway tours in the heart of Fort Worth. We offer the same tours today and are the original Segway Tour Company in Fort Worth.

For the drovers heading the cattle up the Chisholm trail to the railheads, Fort Worth was the last major stop for rest and supplies. Beyond Fort Worth they would have to deal with crossing the Red River into Indian Territory. Between 1866 and 1890 more than four million head of cattle were trailed through Fort Worth, which was soon known as "Cowtown." Cowtown soon had its own disreputable entertainment district several blocks south of the Courthouse area known all over the West as "Hell's Half Acre".

The Stockyards Museum showcases the rich history of the Fort Worth Stockyards and the north side of Fort Worth. There is a growing collection of artifacts, photos and exhibits that document everything from our Native American connections, the Chisholm Trail, the livestock market/stockyards to the Swift and Armour Packing plants. Visitors can experience why Fort Worth is known as "Cowtown" and learn how the Stockyards helped make Fort Worth the Texasmost city.

The C.R. Smith Museum is named for the innovative aviation pioneer and former President of American Airlines, Cyrus Rowlett Smith. The building of the museum honoring C.R. Smith and his accomplishments was the culmination of a two and one-half year fundraising and building effort led by various AA employee and retiree groups. The museum opened July 3rd, 1993.
